The Calbern Wine Bar recreates the improvised, utilitarian look of early 20th-century factory furniture showcasing exposed bolts and pewter-colored pulls. Crafted entirely from solid wood, this piece’s rough hewn planks bear the characteristic of saw marks, pits, and random knots of logs milled on the steam-powered circular and sash saws of the era. Decked in a rustic deep dark brown finish with just enough opacity to show clearly defined wood grain, finished with a low-sheen lacquer that enhances the depth and accentuates saw marks and rough spots without looking glossy. The bar features a removable wine storage rack, adjustable shelves inside the door and the drawer is lined with felt. The legs can be unattached from the bar to sit lower on the ground.
